Reflective Exterior Brown | Glass Restoration | Scratched Glass| Huntington Beach, CA

This was an interesting glass restoration project. It's a business called Classic Industries, near Los Angeles, CA. They sell classic GM car parts for Camaro's and Firebirds and the like. Anyway, we had received a call about another building with this exterior hard water removal on reflective glass. This one, as you will see, had, what we have been calling, "smog staining", because that's what it looked like on the glass. The glass was supposed to be reflective but it actually looked like it was yellowish brown with smog. We did the research and called window cleaning companies and window cleaning supply companies and kept running into the same response. "It can't be done without ruining the exterior reflective finish." We called window cleaners from Los Angeles to Chicago to New York and Even Florida, and kept getting the same answer. Not one to be easily defeated, we started experimenting. We stayed away from all the cleaners with Hydroflouric, Hydrochloric, Muriatic, Amonium Biflouride and the like. It took awhile but we finally found something that both worked and wasn't going to eat away our skin or lungs! The best part is, our formula is all natural! And it's not for sale! Sorry. Anyway, here are some slides from the job. I think the pictures speak for themselves! We've come to the conclusion that this type of smog stained, hard water, runoff looking, reflective glass restoration CAN be thoroughly accomplished to like new condition without the use of acid OR abrasives. I forgot to mention - NO ABRASIVES in our formula!
